Howdy from Omaha, Nebraska!!! I am sitting in my hotel room at the Best Western. I arrived this morning at 10:30 and rented a car which I drove to Lincoln to visit Catholic Social Services. I then drove back to Omaha and arrived at my hotel room. I have to admit I am extremely proud of myself. I didn't get too too lost. Catholic Social Services is a Catholic based clinic which serves about 90,000 people, 80% of which are Catholic. I have to admit, this site definitely has many aspects that I like. The location, however, isn't my top choice. I really enjoyed the collaboration between psychology and the Catholic Church. As I walked into the clinic and I saw multiple pictures of the pope and statues of different saints. The start off everyday by praying the rosary and have daily mass before the work day. Even though their practices are stictly Cathlic, they have research based practices as well. I have my official interview tomorrow, so I will let you know how that goes. I have an abundance of interviews within the next two weeks. I will keep you updated to how that goes. As for right now, I am going to go back to my fictional reading before going to bed.
A funny quote I heard today rings so true:
"Catholic psychologists have it harder than most. Psychologists don't trust them because they are Catholic and Catholics don't trust them because they are psychologists"
